Notes from the Universe

If you haven't already signed up for your Notes from the Universe, check out www.tut.com.

I start my day EVERY day with a note like this one...

Think back on your life, Amy, just for a moment, to when something wildly wonderful and totally unexpected happened. Something that rocked your world and changed your life. That curled your hair and colored your cheeks. That lit your fire and buttered your bread.

See what happens when you leave the cursed hows to me?

As you were,
The Universe

I Beg You...

Some friends shared this quote with me not too long ago.. It's come up several times since and so I wanted to share it here. I read it at least once a day.

Read it.

Learn it.

Live it.

Love it.

I AM The Universe

After a series of events, I've been drawn to write on this topic.
The only logical explanation is that Bob Marley was on to something - One Love!

About 6 months ago, I came across a video of Jim Carrey talking about his spiritual awakening. It was a little difficult to get past all of the characters he's played in movies and take him seriously but he seemed sincere so I kept listening. What I wasn't expecting was to hear such a profound statement from such an unlikely whack-job celebrity (and I use 'whack-job' in the most loving way possible - I do love his work).

"[I realized] I was no longer a fragment of the Universe, I was the Universe." ~Jim Carrey~

I am not a fragment of the Universe, I AM the Universe. Woah! I swear I thought my brain was going to explode from the magnitude of this statement. It threw me off my chair.

I've repeated it often to myself, ESPECIALLY when I start to feel "too human," when I start to get caught up in all the drama and bs of everyday life, and when I just need a reminder that I'm just a spiritual being having a human experience.

I thought I really understood it, until this happened...

[dun, dun, duuuuhn]

About a week ago, a mentor of mine told me about this video. Jill, a brain scientist suffered a stroke, and got to experience the "I am the Universe" experience first-hand. This video really hits it home... really.

Her speech rhythm was distracting for me, but if you can get past that, it's worth the 18-minutes of your time. Check it out:
