I AM...

I had the pleasure of listening to Dr. Wayne Dyer speak live last night, for the second time this year, so I'm going to take this challenge into woo-woo land for today's post. ;-)

Time to reflect... take a moment and answer these questions. Not with the answers you think other people want to hear. Be honest and real. These are just for you.

Why do you exercise?

Why are you mindful about the fuel you put in your body?

What is it that you are trying to achieve?

Did you answer with "I want to be, do, or have..." ?? I did! And so here's where the shift happens.

Instead of affirming what you want, ie. "I want to be fit, healthy, strong, etc..." affirm what you are.

I AM....
fit
healthy
strong
(_____fill in the blank______)

Simple enough right? Here's the tricky part. You have to FEEL it!!

'ewwww, Amy, you're talking about feelings. I thought this was about health..."

It's easy enough to say 'I am strong.' I just said it... and have 100 "monkeys" going off in my head telling me that I'm not. Quiet down, monkeys! (think I'm crazy yet??) What does it feel like to be strong? (or whatever it is you are trying to achieve).

Keep thinking it, saying it, feeling it until you believe it! Your subconscious mind acts based on your beliefs so BELIEVE what you want to be and you will become it. You will start to make decisions based on how you feel and what you believe. If you are strong and healthy and fit and you feel that way, are you going to sit on the couch watching reruns of Friends while scarfing down nachos? Not likely. Make sense? ;-)

Big take away... the two most POWERFUL words in the English language are:

I AM

Now go on and use 'em!

"Disregard your senses and rest on the assumption that you already are what you want to be." ~Wayne Dyer~
