Rice, Dairy and Cardboard

On tonight's agenda we will be fooling the part of our brain that thinks it likes rice into believing that we are actually consuming it! [insert evil laugh here]

Introducing the best way to eat cauliflower - Cauliflower Rice! No, it's true - cauliflower doesn't have to taste like cardboard, it can be disguised, AND it's high in fiber and vitamin C. Try it out, (Enter your name and email to the right to receive the Cauliflower Rice recipe).

I also had a question about dairy that I'm going to take a quick moment to answer here. Don't worry this shouldn't turn into a rant. Here's the deal with dairy. It's f**ing disgusting! That's number one. It might taste good but it's full of cow puss - no joke!

Number two, it's just NOT good for you. It's full of hormones, antibiotics, pesticides and dyes to make it look pretty. By the time it gets pasteurized and homegenized and whatever-else-ized it's not considered a food. Anything that was good for you is GONE!

Number three, the cows that most of our milk comes from are fed grains which cows aren't meant to eat, they like grass. Some are even fed cardboard - you heard me, effin' cardboard!! Cauliflower starting to sound good now?

Number four, you don't need it. Your body does need calcium and you can get enough from all the leafy greens you're going to eat instead.

If this isn't enough to put you off dairy altogether pick up Paul Chek's "How to Eat Move and Be Healthy" and fast forward to page 65.

AND after reading and researching, which I always recommend doing for yourself, the best way to really find out if your body wants it is to TEST it. Go dairy-free for 3-6 months and then if you really have to, re-introduce it and see what happens.

I know you don't want to hear it. Everybody loves cheese, but it's NOT good for you. They say "you are what you eat" so the next time you want to pick up a piece of cheese, ask yourself, "Do I want to be cow puss?" Not likely.

Okay, so turns out this was a rant. Oopsie! It's all in the name of love. ;-) Take care of your bodies!

A.
